Profile Information

About Me:
I am currently studying to pursue a career in Primatology, hopefully one day to find a position working in primate sanctuaries. I have decided to make a lifelong commitment to the study of primates with a concentration in Chimpanzees. While I cannot afford to attend university to realize such goals, I am doing what I can with what I've got to make it happen.
Occupation:
I am currently a cook. In my free time I plan to volunteer at my local humane shelter and devote the rest of my waking hours to studying books, videos, television shows, research papers and articles on Primatology. I also fund raise and spread awareness where ever I can.

Hi Patrick

Just wanted to apologize for taking so long to respond to your friend request as my computer died a little while ago and have had little computer time since.

Thanks for the request. Gladly accepted.

I watched that show on monkeys being "surrogate children". I was so sad to hear that people would pull out the monkeys teeth to stop them from biting and that one monkey that had his finger tips cut-off so he won't open his cage. It is so sad that these monkeys were stolen from their mothers at a very young age. People could be so selfish and cruel.

Tonight!

Be sure to tune into Primetime ABC On July 1st for a special segment reguarding "the phenomenon of monkeys as ‘surrogate children’ and how its popularity is a growing problem."

Also at 10pm est National Geographic is airing a special edition of "Explorer" to supplement it's current issues report on the Gorilla murders @ Virunga. Please spread the word!
