Hi - I think this is a fabulous idea to start a ning on video, it's such a powerful medium for this message. Besides being a Roots & Shoots coordinator for Arlington, I'm a board member and volunteer producer at our local community media station. I'm in the process of creating a special program featuring Deus Cosmos of Tanzania and Manoj Gautam of Nepal, who visited us recently. I have a Sony VX-2100 camera myself, and the studio has several Sony Z1u high-definition portables, along with HD studio cameras. This type of equipment is free for certified volunteers to use at most community media stations - though equipment and training varies. Our special program, produced by the Ottoson News Network, which includes several Planet Ottoson Roots & Shoots members, will certainly extend and multiply the impact of Deus & Manoj's visit to New England!
