Michael uses American Sign Language (ASL) modified for gorilla hands, to describe his mother who was killed for bushmeat. Koko voluntarily taught Michael more than 500 signs. They're both brilliant and offer only a few, an intimate glimpse into their bodies, minds and souls. I hope you appreciate Michael's story as much as I have.
