A zoo chimp tries to save a drowning bird but the water is dangerous for him.

Listen to the family recording the dramatic events. They seem to believe the chimp is going to kill the bird. When they see he is trying to save the bird, they cheer him on.

This proves in my mind that a chimpanzee feels compassion just as any human could or would. He also created strategies and carried them out in carefully planned methods. In my mind, chimpanzees are just as intelligent, intellectually and psychologically (and probably more so) than humans.

This little one is more though. He is a hero!
