I have never been to Holland. I heard it is beautiful there. Places I have been outside of the US are Lebanon, Greece, France and London (but I was too little to remember) and Canada.

That is so great to hear. It would be amazing if you start working with the elephants and I am looking forward to seeing pictures of them. You are so lucky to be able to work at a zoo. Ever since I moved from California to Massachusetts, there are no zoo's around where I live. All the zoos are an hour away. For the summer, I applied for an internship at the Capron Park Zoo. Its an hour away but I am looking forward to be accepted and start working in the summer. They have lots of primates ( like 3 species of lemurs)and the largest animal they have are lions. They have a white lion named Ramses and he has a new cub that was born last year. They don't have elephants (I wish they did) but I would love to work with any animal they have. After I get my BS degree in Biology I am planning to move to Washington DC and work in the National Zoo. By 2011 they are going to finish one of the best elephant exhibits in the US. They have Asian elephants. You could learn more about their "Elephant Trails" exhibit on their website: http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/AsianElephants/ElephantTrails/
I hope you have a wonderful time and thank you so much for telling me. Talk to you soon.

Hi wish you happy & prosperous new year , Shailesh here from India working in the field of Conservation from last 8 years for NGO ---Pugmark Wildlife Foundation.
In India there are so many superstitions regarding with the snakes actually snakes are Holy Creature for Indians but some time snake intrudes human areas so humans killed them. There is smuggling & illegal business of snake poison & snake skin by poachers . So we are fighting for saving snakes from humans & running awareness projects on snake also. Tiger is the endangered species, we are concentrating now to save Tigers .
You can guide us & you can share your thoughts & experience & knowledge with us. Please join http//pugmarkwildlifefoundation.ning.com So that many Activist, NGO, Students, can take inspirations from your efforts & activities .

Hi Shireen,

Hartelijke groeten,
Margot

hallo Shireen,

groetjes Cindy
