Hey Annette, I don't get online much so I missed your birthday greeting. Thanks so much. I admire your efforts in rescuing whoever needs rescuing. I wish you continued success.

Thank you for the greeting, ditto. Nice cats. Had one long ago, he has since passed. He is probably out on the African plains now hunting zebras.

First Rescue of spring 08

My first rescue of this spring went very well, in the wee hours of this morining I heard a bark from outside..strange my dogs are inside and then they let me know that, by barking back very loudly, I sprang to my feet as fast as this old body could spring at 1:15 in the morn and much to my suprise there he was..a large very large black lab, he has seen me.. and came charging for the GLASS door oh man, barking jumping and scratching at the glass, to say I was scared is a little mild he was very intent on getting in, well this could not be cause of my dogs, so I asked my husband to try to put him in the kennel..he said no-way so I grabed a stick and dog treats and went out side the dog seemed o.k. and wanted to go inside.. so I sat in the kennel and waited, he finally came to see what I was doing and walla dog and me in kennel, now how do I get out, oh the treats I put them inside the kennels house...yah it worked but then he noticed he was alone and started barking chewing the bars and showed he was probably stronger than the kennel, I was concerned but thought that he would settel and he did, at a more decent time I called neighbors and no one new this dog but one new of an aunt of a renter that may have a dog...yes.. his pup was missing broke off his chain and didnt know any of his new neighbors so was quite worried more so.. about coyotes which we have plenty of in my area so.. 3 yr. old SPIKE as I was soon to find out and his dad went off to there home..but before that we exchanged numbers and met a new neighbor, today has been a success unfortunatly no batteries in my camera but Im sure I can take a pic the next time we meet!
