What good that you have joined the roots and shoots group! I am not a member of them but maybe I will in the future! Do you live temporary in Holland for the roots and shoots? or do you stay her? Funny that you are crazy about turkeys, why are they so special for you? When I was on holiday in New Zealand we saw some opossums in the wild, are they the same opossums as the virginia opossums? Do you study them for a hobby or for a project or something?
The bird sanctuary where I work is in Soest (province Utrecht) it's in the middle of Holland. Where do you live? Do you like it her in Holland? it's indeed great to work with birds and sometimes there are owls and other big birds! What kind of work do you do for roots and shoots here in Holland?
greetings Cindy
Welcome to the JGI Community for social change - My name is Bryce, I am the Webmaster and Online Community Director at the Jane Goodall Institute. I am trying to stop by and welcome all of the new members personally and let you know that if you have any issues or questions to please feel free to send me a message. Again, thanks for joining!
Thanks for the comment. I posted some characteristics of the elephants I work with on my latest blog. Please check it out.
I have had the incredable opportunity to work with raptors at the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, Missouri when I was 17 years old! I fell in love with a bird named Turk (turkey vulture) and with educating the public about conservation. That is an experience I still carry with me so many years later!
Before I moved here, I worked with a wildlife rehabilitation clinic in Missouri which then provided me with more invaluable wildlife experiences.
I am committed to help protect wildlife and want to help spread the word that they are worth respecting and saving! I would love to hear from all of you who are living the dream of studying and/or researching wildlife. Hopefully, I will be able to realize my dream of studying biology someday (it's never to late right?).
