About Me:
Well, I'm a junior from Scarborough Maine and my biggest passions are animals, and ice hockey. Animals are the reason I got involved with Roots and Shoots because I wanted to help and make myself more aware of animal issues around the world. However, I have now expanded these horizons to include the environment and people as well because I've realized that we are all connected. I am a founding member of the NEYLC and have tried to better the community in New England.
My other passion is ice hockey. This is my third year playing and I am the only goaltender for my high school. We won states for girls this year and I can't wait to play in college(hopefully) and just keep playing. I also like ice hockey because so many girls are starting to play now and that was not true at all when I was a kid, so the equality and exploration of girls in continuing in our world.
Other than that I like to write poems/song lyrics, music in general on guitar and anything outdoors!
Occupation:
I have 2 paying jobs and an internship. My internship is with the Portland Pirates AHL professional ice hockey team. But, for pay I work at Port City Graphics which is a screen printing and embroidery place and I pack and send out t-shirts for the Denis Leary Firefighters Foundation and I ship out merchandise for his show Rescue Me. But, my main job is at Smiling Hill Farm which is a small farm right down the street from me. I work in the barn at night, working with the animals and helping run the barn. It is the best job ever!

I am so jealous, we made it to the state championships the last year I played but lost. That is awesome!

As for school, work hard this year. Trust me, you don't want to have to work next year. And remember, it get wicked fun after you get accepted to college.
