YEAH, thanks! It was def an amazing season. We went 20-0 and I had 10 shutouts. We'd only made it to semis in history so it was a huge accomplishment.

Actually, its not that bad, it just takes up a lot of time. Trust me when I say I CAN'T wait for college!

Found and fixed the Doug captions on NEYLS photos - I had asked the folks at NE office to proof the names, but must have missed any corrections they sent. :-) I am glad we cleared that up!

As noted in Bryce's page, One of the challenges we face in Arlington Mass. Roots & Shoots groups is making the local-global connection for younger elementary kids. They do like the little nature activities we do, and they loved having our visitors from Nepal and Tanzania at their meeting on Monday.

Clearly the resources of families like our members' are light years away from what groups deal with in Nepal & Tanzania Yet, people here are numb from the constant fundraisers, whether it's for books for their local school or for tents for earthquake refugees in Pakistan. Last year we raised a little money for Panda Miti, but not much, even though we connected it to local tree-planting (sold ArborDay seedlings for $15, with extra after seedling purchase for Panda Miti). People liked the idea, but there was no groundswell to carry it forward.

Any ideas from the group on how to structure activities as part of a long-term plan that keeps members engaged, connected with other groups, and feeling like they are making a difference? Maybe we are expecting too much, too soon?

I've been pretty good! Just busy balancing all the things I do and still trying to survive junior year! LOL.

Other than that we won state champs for ice hockey, thanks again for helping me get started with hockey!

Can't wait to see you at the summit, it has been way too long!

Miss you
