In India there are so many superstitions regarding with the snakes actually snakes are Holy Creature for Indians but some time snake intrudes human areas so humans killed them. There is smuggling & illegal business of snake poison & snake skin by poachers . So we are fighting for saving snakes from humans & running awareness projects on snake also. Tiger is the endangered species, we are concentrating now to save Tigers .

Have fun in Orlando! Unfortunately I won't be there :( but I putting on some great events for Earth Day/week here at Stanford so I'll be with you guys in spirit.... say hi to everyone for me!
Clearly the resources of families like our members' are light years away from what groups deal with in Nepal & Tanzania Yet, people here are numb from the constant fundraisers, whether it's for books for their local school or for tents for earthquake refugees in Pakistan. Last year we raised a little money for Panda Miti, but not much, even though we connected it to local tree-planting (sold ArborDay seedlings for $15, with extra after seedling purchase for Panda Miti). People liked the idea, but there was no groundswell to carry it forward.
Any ideas from the group on how to structure activities or a long-term plan that keeps members engaged, connected with other groups, and feeling like they are making a difference? Maybe I am expecting too much, too soon?
Sorry - it's early. :)
